BUDGET TALK

1. FM says govt has removed policy paralysis. India back on track

2. Move towards New India with houses for all, toilets, doubling farmers income, etc

3. Avg Inflation down to 4.6%. If inflation would not have been controlled  families would have been spending 35-40% more on basic amenities today.

👉 Salary standard deduction raised to Rs. 50000/-

👉 No levy of tax on notional rent on 2nd home.

👉 Bank Interest upto Rs. 40000 to not attract TDS

👉 Rent TDS limit to raised to 2.40 lakhs

👉 Investment in 2 houses can be done u/s 54 for a Capital Gain upto 2 crores in a lifetime.

👉 Notional rent period for real estate for unsold units is extended to 2 years

👉 Within 2 years, Tax assessment will be done electronically

👉 Custom duty has abolished from 36 Capital Goods

👉 Recommendations to GST council for reducing GST rates for home buyers

👉 National kamdhenu ayog for cows. Rs. 750 crores for National Gokul Mission.

👉 2% interest subvention for farmers pursuing animal husbandry and also create separate department for fisheries.

👉 2% interest subvention for farmers affected by natural calamities and additional 3% interest subvention for timely payment.

👉 Tax free Gratuity limit increase to 20 Lakhs from 10 Lakhs

👉 Bonus will be applicable for workers earning 21000 monthly

👉 The scheme, called Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan, will provide assured monthly pension of Rs. 3,000 with contribution of Rs. 100 per month for workers in unorganized sector after 60 years of age.

GST AAJ TAK

1. As Per Amended Section 9(4) Of CGST Act The Government has taken Power To Notify Class Of Person On Which GST will Be Charged in Reverse Charge Basis RCM On purchase from Unregistered Person Reintroduced But It Will Be applicable only on the class of Person which will be notified by the Government. Till Date The Govt has not Notified any such class of Person. Effective from 01-02-2019

2. New Rule 21A has been inserted vide Notification No 03/2019- Central Tax effective from 01.02.2019 regarding suspension of registration - Where a registered person has applied for cancellation of registration under rule 20, the registration shall be deemed to be suspended from the date of submission of the application or the date from which the cancellation is sought, whichever is later, pending the completion of proceedings for cancellation of registration under rule 22.
