✒️ Supreme Court has set aside the life imprisonment sentence imposed on a person accused in a 1981 murder case noticing that he was *less than 18 years of age* on the date of commission of offence.

⚫The Sensex regained the 40,000 mark after more than seven months while the Nifty got closer to the 12,000 level on optimism around a US stimulus package and a rebound in the Indian economy amid further easing of Covid-19 restrictions.  
⚫The Govt will soon launch a common data infrastructure of all farmers along with land record details for better reach of various farm schemes.This will act as a one-stop-shop for data, including access to finance by farmers, startups, and researchers for developing new apps, so that the benefits reach the grassroots.
⚫India’s robust double digit exports growth to China, coupled with sharp contraction in imports to $12.6 billion between April and August of FY21, from $22.6 billion in the year-ago period halved the trade gap between the two trading partners.
⚫The SEBI tightened norms on inter-scheme transfers for mutual funds, imposing conditions on when the facility can be used and placing greater accountability on fund managers deciding on such transfers.
⚫SEBI said listed co's should make efforts to maintain updated addresses and contact details of “designated employees” for one year after their resignation, under the digital database. Such data needs to be preserved by the company or intermediary fiduciary for a period of five years, as part of insider trading regulations.
⚫The IMD will release dynamic impact-based cyclone warnings for districts this season to help minimise economic losses and damage to property due to the intense weather system.
