⚫Crisil cut FY22 growth estimate for India to 9.5% from the earlier 11% due to the hit to private consumption and investments following the second wave of COVID-19.
⚫Small industries seek moratorium for another year amid Covid crisis
⚫The Centre has taken back control of vaccine procurement and will supply Covid-19 jabs to states free of cost to inoculate all above 18 years of age from June 21. The 25% of the vaccination work that was with states will also be handled by the Govt of India.
⚫The SEBI slapped a penalty of Rs 5 crore on Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund for “several irregularities” in the running of its six debt schemes that were wound up in April 2020.
It directed the fund house to disgorge Rs 512 crore it collected as investment management and advisory fees between June 2018 and April 2020.
⚫Govt has so far spent about 5,000 crore on vaccines till april21.
⚫As lockdowns ease, Indians still prefer home deliveries.This trend was observed not just in the big cities, but also tier 1,2,3 towns.
