ITC on Diwali Gifts to Employees
No ITC is available on any product (including sweets and beverages) purchased for distribution to employees as the same is blocked as per section 17(5). Hence ITC is not available on goods purchased for distribution to employees and workers.
Output GST on Gifts to employee
Gifts given by employer exceeding the value of Rs. 50,000 shall be liable to GST. Therefore, high value gifts such as car, home, gold etc. exceeding Rs. 50,000 is liable to GST.
