👉CBDT instructs CCITs posted in various states through video conferencing and asked them to Mop Up Tax Collection. The meeting was chaired by CBDT Chairman Sushil Chandra.
👉GSTN Alert: As the provisions relating to TDS is all set to implement from today, the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has enabled the facility to file TDS Return (Form 7) and the TDS Certificate (Form 7A) in the portal.
👉CBIC postpones the implementation of RFID Sealing till 1st November 2018.
👉CBIC lays down Standard Operating Procedure on TDS under GST Regime as the TDS provisions are to be implemented from Monday i.e. Today. To download, Click on: https://goo.gl/HfjHka
👉CBIC clarifies that GST cannot be levied on Residential Programmes or Camps meant for the advancement of Religion, Spirituality or Yoga where the fee charged includes the cost of boarding and lodging. The board had been receiving representations on the applicability of tax on the said services.
👉As much as Rs 29,000 crore lying in the IGST pool has been Apportioned between the Centre and States in the month of September. The Central Govt will get about Rs 14,500 Crore and the remaining would be distributed among the States in Proportion to the Revenue Collection in September
👉The Revenue Department is planning to come out with a 'GST Informant Reward Scheme' to Check Tax Evasion by Unscrupulous Traders and Businesses. It will be on the lines of Similar Schemes for Excise and Service Tax, which has been subsumed under the GST. Customs and Income Tax also have such informer reward schemes.
👉The Boards of Bank of Baroda (BoB) and Vijaya Bank gives In-Principle Approvals for their Amalgamation with another lender Dena Bank, a move that would create the Second-Largest Entity in the PSU Banking Space.
👉Ministry of Corporate Affairs(MCA) orders An Investigation into the the books of accounts of Vakrangee Accounts for a period of 3 Financial Years under the Companies Act. The scope of the probe will include the resignation of PriceWaterHouse(PWC) as Statutory Auditors of the company & will also look into the Tax Filings, number of Vakrangee Kendras located in India and the Shareholding Structure of the company.
