⚫The Govt is planning to spend around Rs 7.5 trillion to build oil and gas infrastructure over the next five years. It is our collective duty to work towards clean and green sources of energy and reduce energy dependence, said PM, adding that Govt is sensitive to the concerns of the middle class and thus, India is increasing focus on clean and green sources and ethanol to help farmers and consumers.
⚫The Union Cabinet approved a production linked incentive scheme worth Rs 12,195 crore for telecom equipment manufacturing.
⚫The SEBI eased the listing norms for large companies, apparently paving the way for the much-awaited mega float of LIC of India. It said large companies can now divest a minimum 5% in the IPO, instead of 10%. Further, they will get five years, instead of three, to raise the public float to 25%.
⚫With 276943 more vaccinations across India on Tuesday, the total count of those inoculated reached 8,999,230. The count of recovered coronavirus cases across India, reached 97.33% of total caseload
