⚫Union Civil Aviation Minister said his ministry has set a target of operationalising 100 unserved and underserved airports and starting at least 1,000 air routes under the UDAN scheme.He also said that privatisation is required in the field of aviation as it is not the Govt's specialisation to run airports.
⚫FM said the country required at least 20 institutions of the size of the nation’s largest lender, SBI, to be able to meet its aspirations.

The privately owned Rishi Ganga power project (130 Mw), was the first to face the brunt of the avalanche.Tapovan (520 Mw), Pipal Koti (4x111 Mw), the hydro project of state-owned THDC, and Vishnuprayag (400 Mw) of Jaypee Group also faced damages.
