👉In a Major Scam, the Central GST Delhi West Commissionerate arrests 2 Rohini based Businessmen for Rs 201 Crore Tax Evasion by Fraudulently Issuing Invoices of Input Tax Credit (ITC) without actual supply of goods, relating to Plastic Granule Industry
👉Cabinet clears amendments to GST laws. The amendments to the Central GST, Integrated GST and Compensation Cess laws will now be placed in Parliament in the ongoing session.
👉GST revenue collection for July, 2018 stood at Rs. 96,483 Crore. Out of Rs. 96,483 Crores, Rs. 15,877 Crores have been collected as CGST, Rs. 22,293 Crores as SGST, Rs. 49,951 Crores as IGST and Rs. 8,362 Crores as Compensation cess.
👉Finance Ministry informs that, GST Refund Claims of Rs 54,378 Crore of Exporters have been cleared by the Centre and State tax officials till July end
👉CBDT signs 9 more unilateral APAs with taxpayers in July as it looks to reduce litigation by providing certainty in Transfer Pricing. With the signing of these Agreements, the total number of APAs entered into by the CBDT has gone up to 232, which includes 20 Bilateral Advance Pricing Agreements (BAPAs)
