👉CBIC reopens GST migration process as decided in 28th GST Council meeting. It has laid down Special Procedure for Completing Migration of Taxpayers who received Provisional IDs but could not complete the GST migration process.
👉CBIC releases Notification to defer RCM on transaction with unregistered supplier for another one year till 30th September 2019 as decided in the 28th GST Council Meeting
👉Parliamentary Panel suggests & asks RBI to restore Letters of Undertaking (LoUs) -- banned after their misuse in PNB scam -- at the earliest with Proper Safeguards in order to increase the availability of credit for traders.
👉Finance Ministry to notify Import Duty Hike on about 300 Textile Products from Today with a view to boost Domestic Manufacturing. The duties could be enhanced to 20% on products like certain fabrics, garments and man-made fibres. Currently, the duty ranges between 5-10%.
👉Mehul Choksi could be brought back under Commonwealth Laws, Govt Notifies. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) clarifies that India’s Extradition Act (1962) applies to the Caribbean Nation because Antiguan authorities have already notified India as a ‘Designated Commonwealth Country’ under the provision of the Antiguan Extradition Act (1993)
