👉CBDT informs that Income Tax Collection stood at Record Rs 10.03 Lakh Crore in 2017-18. It also said that during 2017-18, a record number of 6.92 Crore I-T Returns were filed, which was 1.31 Crore more than 5.61 Crore Returns filed in 2016-17.

👉CBDT defers Reporting of Clause 30C (GAAR) and 44 (GST) of Revised 3CD Report while doing Tax Audit till March 31, 2019.

👉CBDT proposes changes in Form 13, Application for Low/No deduction of TDS. The comments and suggestions are invited & may be sent electronically by 04th September, 2018 at the email address--ts.mapwal@nic.in

👉National Anti-profiteering Authority (NAA) plans to knock on factory gates to enforce GST rate cuts rather than waiting for consumers to complain about businesses cornering tax benefits meant for them. NAA is also in the process of putting in place a facility for anyone to dial a number and file complaints under guidance from a tax inspector

👉GSTN Enables Excel Export option for GSTR2A. Earlier GSTR2A used to download in JSON file and thereafter JSON file needs to be converted in Excel.

👉Govt seeks dilution of Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) Framework which imposes strict regulatory curbs on public sector banks to ensure their financial health. RBI had tightened PCA norms last year, adding to the stress in the sector.

👉Madras High Court sends Notice to SEBI in NSE Co-Location Case on a writ petition filed by a lawyer seeking appropriate action against NSE employees for the alleged fraud in Co-Location Services which reportedly led to loss of Trillions of Rupees to Millions of customers.

👉Form DPT-3 (Return of Deposits) is likely to be revised on MCA21 Company Forms Download page w.e.f 19th AUG, 2018. Stakeholders are advised to check the latest version before filing.
