👉PM Modi will launch India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) on August 21, that will have at least one branch in every district and focus on financial services in rural areas
👉GST Council at its 29th meeting clears 20% Cashback on Digital Payments, of GST paid on Business-to-Consumer Transactions using RuPay and BHIM platforms, subject to a cap of Rs 100 per transaction.
👉In a crucial development, India officially hands over Extradition Requests for Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi to the respective countries
👉SEBI in Final Stages of Allowing Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX) for Futures Trading in Petrol and Diesel, after which thousands of Retailers and Transporters will be able to hedge the price risk
👉Ministry of Corporate Affairs proposes setting up 8 Special Courts under NCLT to deal with insolvency cases. These courts will be set up in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad
👉Govt planning to come out with a One-Time Settlement for Minor and Non-Serious Company Law Offences, which would remove about 60% of the ongoing cases in the NCLT and Special Courts in one stroke and free them up to deal with insolvency matters.
